Campus Advocacy Coordinators

Campus Advocacy Coordinators (CACs) are the liaisons designated by each college to support and lead legislative advocacy efforts on their individual college campuses. CACs are designated by the college president, and work directly with OCCA to make sure advocacy messages are consistent statewide. They recruit students, faculty, staff, board members, and community/industry stakeholders to advocate on behalf of community colleges, testify in front of the legislator or in written testimony, contact legislators and more. Please see below for the CACs for each community college. If you have general questions about CACs, please contact casey@occa17.com.

2026 CAC Retreat

Two days, two retreats! Join us on July 22 for the Campus Advocacy Coordinators (CAC) Retreat and July 23 for the Oregon Community College Marketing & Public Relations (OCCMPR) Retreat/Annual Meeting! Both events will be held at Tillamook Bay Community College in Tillamook. Join us for one or both retreats. Both will also have a virtual option, though we hope most folks will be able to join us in-person for a more engaging experience. The fees for each day will cover the cost of morning coffee/tea, continental breakfast, and lunch on that day. Please register by July 10!
