OCCA Board Member Training – Saturday, September 17, 2022

Independence Hotel & Civic Center, Independence, OR

WHAT: Join community college board members and presidents from around the state for this one-day training opportunity. Board members will learn more about their roles as elected leaders, public meeting law, how to be an effective advocate for colleges and students, and important issues facing community colleges in 2022-2023. The day will start with a breakfast buffet at the Independence Hotel followed by the training at the Independence Civic Center – just a short walk (or drive) from the hotel along a paved path on the riverfront. Lunch will be provided as well. If you are joining from out of town, please consider joining us for a dinner at Gilgamesh Brewing at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16. A detailed agenda will follow shortly!

WHO: This training is ideal for both NEW and SEASONED community college board members and presidents.
