Transfer
Community colleges in Oregon are a great place for students to complete the first two years of their higher education at an affordable cost close to home before transferring to a four-year university to complete a Bachelor’s degree. The Success Center at OCCA is working closely with colleges and universities to make improvements to the transfer process. This includes the development of common course numbering, direct admissions, credit alignment, and other ways to streamline and simplify the process for students.
Success Center Director Elizabeth Cox Brand serves as an appointed member of the state’s Transfer Council, which was tasked by the Oregon Legislature with improving the transfer process. Learn more about the statewide work on transfer by clicking here.
